Proverbs 2:2-4,9-11
When you do the hard work to gain wisdom, the diligence pays off.
Nothing great comes without great effort.
The more you train your brain in wisdom the more natural it becomes to think rightly.
Any brain book or study you read attests to this.
Every thought we think is like clearing a path in the woods.
The more you think a certain thought, the more you walk down that path & wear it down, thus making it easier to walk down.
This is great when it comes to kind thoughts about people, your spouse, your boss, etc.
But it is life-stealing when it comes to the likes of anger, pornography, & worry.
“Be mindful of your thoughts.” -Obi Wan Kenobi
Mark 5:9,15
Then Jesus demanded, “What is your name?” And he replied, “My name is Legion, because there are many of us inside this man.” A crowd soon gathered around Jesus, and they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons. He was sitting there fully clothed and perfectly sane, and they were all afraid.
We experience many competing voices everyday.
There are a plethora of people we could try to please, and it would drive us to insanity.
But when we perform for an audience of One, pleasing only Him,
then, & only then, are we in our right mind.
Then we are as we were created to be.
Mark 5:36
“Don’t be afraid! Just believe!” -Jesus of Nazareth
