When you’re pursuing God, you take criticism, correction, and admonishment well because all you desire is to be conformed to the image of Christ. You welcome this somewhat painful sharpening as an effective means of growth into Christ likeness.
The closer you get to the Father, the more “unoffendable” you become.

Verse 46 is one we meditate upon in the school of spiritual direction:
And so it happened that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking questions.
In this school, we are trained to listen well and ask good questions. Jesus was doing this at twelve years old.
